Stadium Golf Tour Brings Fore to Four-Down Zone at Clemson's Memorial Stadium

Since 1942, Memorial Stadium at Clemson University, better known as Death Valley, has hosted hundreds of collegiate games, NFL football matches, and even concerts ranging from the Rolling Stones to Pink Floyd and Billy Joel. But its most unique event arrives Dec. 7, 2023, when Stadium Golf Tour brings the most singular golf experience in the world to Clemson.

Stadium Golf Tour is held at the world’s most iconic stadiums, so Clemson’s Memorial Stadium is the perfect place to end its 2023 tour, which included stops in the UK as well as at LSU. Guests will enjoy a  nine-hole course with tee boxes placed throughout the stadium. Guests will hit their balls directly onto Frank Howard Field. Each hole will highlight one-of-a-kind stadium experiences that Tigers fans have never had. From the time they enter the stadium through the Tiger Walk to teeing off at Howard’s Rock, every step provides fans a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Tickets for the Stadium Golf Tour event at Clemson are on sale today. and can be purchased at StadiumGolfTour.com. While entry for the event is timed, guests can stay to enjoy the experience for as long as they want. The course itself traditionally takes two to three hours to complete. General admission for Stadium Golf Tour, which includes 18 balls, starts at $65. VIP packages, which include additional balls, a swag bag as well as food and beverage items from the clubhouse, start at $100.

While golf is a central part of the Stadium Golf Tour experience, everyone from scratch golfers to novice duffers can enjoy the experience. It is an ideal outing for people of all ages and skill sets. In addition to exploring the stadium to complete the nine-hole course, guests can brush up on the basics with contests and simulators for chipping and putting, as well as tracking the longest drive and closest to the pin. Those experiences can be purchased for an additional fee onsite.

Stadium Golf Tour founder Michael Wiggins is proud to invite Clemson Tigers fans to this one-of-a-kind experience.

“Clemson’s Memorial Stadium is such an iconic destination for fans of college football, and Tigers fans are renowned for their loyalty and spirit,” Wiggins said. “Bringing Stadium Golf Tour to Clemson allows us to share unprecedented access to the stadium for fans in such a novel way.”

While guests enjoy Stadium Golf, one must-do is a visit to the Clubhouse. The perfect place for a 19th hole – or in this case a 10th hole – the Clubhouse offers participants a curated selection of food, drinks and activities.

Clemson University staff is excited to share the Tigers traditions in this unique way.

“Our Tigers fans have a true, heartfelt connection with each of the Clemson traditions,” said Kosha Irby, Sr. Executive Associate Athletic Director and Chief Marketing Officer for Clemson Athletics. “We hope that the Stadium Golf Tour experiences deepen the love that participating Clemson fans have for our university and what it represents.”

About Stadium Golf Tour

Imagine yourself walking out of the tunnel and onto the field of an iconic stadium—and hitting a perfect 9-iron. Imagine walking among the ghosts of sports greatness past and experiencing them from a whole new vantage point. Imagine sinking a 20-foot putt on the same patch of grass where a National Championship was won. Stadium Golf Tour turns this fantasy into reality, transforming the most famous sports venues in the world into uniquely designed 9-hole golf courses. But it’s more than a game of golf, it’s a trip through history—and a trip down memory lane.
